Working with a budget

In your pitch you will need to show that you understand how to outline a budget.

You should first find a few similar film on IMDB and outline what they cost.

Then make your own budget based on the following costs.

  • Camera hire - SLR - £50 a day
  • HD camcorder - £40 a day
  • Tripod - £20 a day
  • Steadicam - £20 a day
  • Lights - £60 a day
  • Screens - £60 a day
  • Locations in school - £100 a day
  • Outside locations - £200 a day
  • Any other props that you need to source.
  • Actors - £150 an hour
  • Costumes - £100
