Looking at the audience and box office for a similar film to compare with yours 

For the two to three films within your chosen genre that you have analysed - research on the IMDB website.

  1. Choose two of the films that are mentioned and research them thoroughly on the IMDB website - this is the internet movie database and gives you information about every aspect of the film - please can you look at BOX office figures as well as the audience user ratings and figures as this will begin to give you an insight into the demographics of audiences and how they favour certain genres.
  2. The screen shots below will give you an indication of how to do this.

 

 

 

 

Type the name of the film into the search engine in IMDB and you will get the following screen.

Click onto the 228,000 users hyperlink and you will be taken to the following screen

Now have a look through the overview hypelinks on the left - you may also want to look through the trailers videos and posters  to get a audio visual flavour of the film in terms of its branding and synergy.

See if you can view the opening credits for the film on the internet.
